I plan strategic decisions based on data, key facts and quantifiable data. I lead the creation of MVP’s in a small and fast way to ensure we are able to ship new products quicker to market and/or with the relevant data points being assessed.

I love all things product and tech related and really believe education and access to technology is one of the most powerful ways to improve the lives of people and their families. I have seen lives improved, careers accelerated and salaries/quality of life increased for under represented groups directly through the products that I have created or developed. This is the most rewarding part of my job and what keeps me going.

Whilst it can be difficult to always maintain an optimistic outlook in a startup, I really believe I am a truly optimistic person at heart. I include this point because the energy I give as a leader and contributor can be infectious and can be what can get our team through difficult moments.

I love building real, human, meaningful, deep, powerful connections with the people I work with. I am proud to say that I am able to call my past colleagues good friends. I love learning about people and what makes them tick and who they are as people first.

Being vulnerable is a crucial trait to posses in my opinion. Vulnerability ensures that I remain open to new ideas, thoughts, data and experiences of others. It is essential to building strong personal and professional relationships. Ultimately positively impacting the output we generate as a team - vital in a Startup.

In order to be successful in fast moving environments and in very small powerful teams, I have honed the skills that result in High Performance. From effective use of time, software and team collaboration; I have been able to maintain a level of high performance as measured by my product output, growth, and number of people impacted. I have been able to understand deeper the mindset and culture of start-ups and the holistic approach needed.

Closely linked to learning from others, I am a life-long learner. Whether it is learning about new software, hardware, learning methodologies or product related literature. I love facilitating a culture of learning and lead our internal book club were we read awesome books - business focused to autobiographies. I look forward to further formally accelerating my education in the future.

I am flexible and fluid in my approach to challenging or high stakes scenarios. I regularly engage with our investors, C-Level’s and other senior stakeholders. I have a calm and logical approach for difficult or complex scenarios. This has been shown through my adaptability in product management to react to the market in an incredibly fast digital learning landscape.

I have spent several years with cross-cultural (LATAM and Europe) and cross-functional teams with effective and clear communication. I have had strong feedback that this is a huge positive trait that I have. I also lead an English language conversation monthly session at VTEX to further improve my skills and receive constructive feedback for myself.
